Charli XCX Embraces a Hell Version of Herself in Mockumentary Teaser
The celebrated musician is getting ready for a substantial cinematic appearance in 2026, starting with the mockumentary titled The Moment.
Within the project, she embodies what she refers to as a dark version of her own persona.
It’s the realest depiction of the music business that I’ve ever seen, the star commented.
She elaborated in an interview: This isn’t a concert film, yet the concept stemmed from the expectation to make one.
A Glimpse into The Project
The initial preview, released on Thursday, mixes actual recordings from Charli’s Sweat tour with made-up backstage scenes.
The Moment is directed and co-written by her collaborator, who shared that the story revolves around a reality where the artist opted for alternate decisions throughout the publicity of her smash hit album Brat.

She also joined to star in Dakota Johnson’s directorial debut A Tree in Blue.

Soundtrack Involvement
Next February will also include the release of the director’s interpretation of Wuthering Heights, which will feature original songs from the singer.
She will also provide music for the film Mother Mary, featuring Anne Hathaway and Michaela Coel, set to be released next year.
The Moment is scheduled to debut on the 30th of January.
